La serie di Mass Effect rappresenta uno dei motivi principali che mi hanno spinto buy a 360.
Let's face it, there is also for PC, but the cost for a computer capable of supporting it would have been equal if not greater than that of the control of Microsoft, and so at least I can do even more exclusive games.
I am here today to highlight the first two chapters produced by BioWare. I knew I could expect a great experience but I did not think something so exquisitely funny and well done. Let's start with
order: Mass Effect 1 is not a perfect game, but ... probably for conversion problems on consoles from the PC version, graphically, is full of textures loaded in considerable delay (and consequent low-res) and in situations more chaotic it may happen that frame-rate are affected.
The dynamics of combat, and in general the shooter aspect of the game is run in a decidedly rough. The first time you play Mass Effect after a while is to say "what is junk? This would be a masterpiece?".
The minigames to unlock the doors or cabinets with objects are basic and simply based on the pressure in rapid succession of buttons of the pad.
But it is in the midst of all these defects shows that the size of the title.
The part of RPG is perfect, well balanced, each category has highly specific way, on paper could make a Mass Effect several times just to test the differences on the development Character is like powers as alignment (Hero or Renegade).
Add to this a spectacular history, very few games over the last decade have presented a texture so captivating, sometimes it could be said to be in front of a Star Wars modern, mixed with pinches of Star Trek and all the movies Popular apocalyptic. But avoid falling into situations of history or banal "view and review". We can customize
Commander Shepard in every detail, and their interaction with the characters are deep, so that, faced with certain choices will have a hard time deciding who should stay behind with the risk of not succeeding.
If Mass Effect is presented so like a great game but with definite flaws that threatened the real success is not the case with Mass Effect 2.
This is almost the perfect action-RPG. Meanwhile, remove all the defects mentioned above. The graphics excel, and never leaves anything behind. The fights are definitely more of a shooter on the levels of very good workmanship, and generally gives a more solid gaming experience. The biotic powers in the first chapter were comfortable, but I personally handed over to my teammates (commanding when to use them) while I was shooting, this time are much better integrated and usable real-time "means no open wheel powers.
questionable choice but successful is to simplify the RPG aspect, the character growth is somewhat less category and up to a maximum of 4 levels of expertise. Although this seems simplistic, actually works very well, makes it easier to grow without becoming banal, it is important to choose the right powers.
The story of the second chapter opens up a wider scenario, but it loses appeal in particular how it starts and builds as the climax of the story comes towards the end of the game. Fortunately the game has its own conclusion, but leaves open important questions in Optical Mass Effect 3.
What really does tip the balance towards Mass Effect is in any case the fact that, if the third chapter will maintain this level of excellence, we would be faced with perhaps one of the best gaming trilogies of all time. Even and especially for one reason: your character can be imported into ME1 ME2, and what you decided and combination (so even if you did or not certain missions) has an effect on the dialogues on opportunities in the story of ME2. Even in ME3 this will be possible, and then we will have a character with two stories of experience and background that determine the development of cultural history, opening up many different scenarios.
Basically if I have a character and do all three mass effect, I have a gaming experience. Then I may well do another step into history with another commander Shepard (also a woman to speak) and enjoy the game in a completely different way, another way of obtaining the development of all macro and micro missions, reaching a level of diversity and novelty in impressive history.
Nothing to say, BioWare has produced a masterpiece in its entirety and with Mass Effect 2 is also in the specific product. The saga of Mass Effect is when the real reason why it's worth owning a 360. Certainly not for this do not really need a PS3 first! XD
